Fantastic location within walking distance of lots of sights and restaurants. Right from our arrival we knew we had made a great decision- we were greeted warmly by the receptionist who gave us great advice on what to see and where to eat as well as the hotel facilities. In fact all the receptionists we encountered were wonderful and extremely helpful. Our room was facing the street at the front which was very lively and full of restaurants and street entertainers and it was great to observe these from the french doors which opened fully on to a Juliet balcony. At bedtime the soundproofing shut out all the noise. Breakfast was a buffet which was lovely and the staff running it were very efficient and ensured nobody had to wait too long to be seated. The bar staff were also friendly and attentive with a great sense of humour. We had to leave quite early and the receptionist booked a taxi for us, chasing it up when it was just a little later than expected. Our stay here made our break in Lisbon worth every penny- we felt so lucky that we found it.

The staff within the hotel were exceptional and nothing was a bother to them. Always there to help from the reception staff, bar staff and kitchen staff and domestics. Fantastic customer service and a credit to the hotel. The reception staff (Isabel and the other girl, sorry didn't get her name) were incredible and friendly. I stayed with my daughter and we had the best time. The hotel is in a fantastic location, close by to everything. Room was beautiful and clean, however only thing I think was missing was tea/coffee facilities. I will definitely stay here again as Lisbon is a beautiful city. And I will be sure to recommend to anyone I know looking to visit Lisbon. Thank you for an incredible stay. Jacqueline

The location is obviously amazing, you can find a lot of great restaurants nearby (including authentic local ones) and a lot of interesting places / monuments etc. We went everywhere on foot, no taxis / public transport necessary (but we took a taxi to the airport and it cost around 5E). What's more, we went on a walking tour + city scavenger hunt and it all started just next to the hotel. Also, Alfama is closer than it seems, because there is an escalator nearby:) (Escadinhas da Saúde). There's a very nice spot to relax, with a pool and bar on the 1st floor. We waited there after check out, to leave on time for the airport. Staff was very nice. I appreciate the welcome drink :) Room was cleaned every day.

Location: in the old town. Perfect for visiting Lisbon and go out to eat. While not too opulent. Room: Our room had a separate sitting area with coffee maker, great. Bathroom is with bath and shower screen, works OK. Beds were excellent. TV perfect as room TV. Large safe. Breakfast: Nice buffet breakfast with show cooking. Quality products. Except for the little "Zwan" sausages :-), but that is a question of taste. Staff: very friendly and helpful. Makes really good suggestions. Luggage storage: nice safe storage room for your luggage when checked out before departure. Transfer: Hotel arranges professional class airport transfer. Building: showing its age. Well refitted to modern standards inside.

Location was close to various attractions and public transportation. It is located on a pedestrian only street with numerous restaurants and shopping. The room was large and roomy with a comfortable bed and two nice sitting chairs. It also had a mini fridge and a coffee maker. The bathroom was very large. Breakfast was delightful. The eating area was spacious and the breakfast was a full breakfast buffet with hot and cold selections. In addition, we owe a very special thanks to Isabel ad Praveen in the Reception area, who solved a problem when a renegade taxi driver attempted to charge more than twice the appropriate fare from the airport.
